Who Needs Caffein Anyways
So many people in this world drink coffee and coke to stay awake, and I'm telling you right now that you don't need it. Trust me! I'm one of those people who is always moving, and doing something, in fact I barely have time to sleep but of course I do. However, Friday was sooo different, I woke up at 6:30 went to school, played dodgeball in this thing at school (we lost so badly) and stayed up until 6:30 a.m. before sleeping for 3 hours. After that I saw a movie with my friend O and went to my last swim meet of the year and didn't fall asleep in the water. Over 36 hours of my crazy life on about 3 hours of sleep, and absolutely no caffein!! As for the swim meet, it went well, even though the pool and locker room were heath violations, and had no starting blocks. The party was great, and we got free drinks from the bar at the hotel we were staying at, don't worry just Shirley Temples.

Sending Hugs and Kisses
This is that best valentine's day ever, and I hope it's the same for all of you (sorry D, I hope you get better soon!) I am entirely happy with life at the moment, and figure that I might as well eat candy while I can avoid feeling guilty about it. We had our valentine's dance at school on Friday, and it was great (there's nothing better at lifting my spirits than a party!) The somewhat bad news is we have to wear T-Shirts at swim practice for drag (it wears your arms out so much). However, the good side of that is that I don't have practice next week because most of my teammates have vacation More good news is that my speech about poverty and optimistic ways made it to that semi-finals in the Fay School speech competition, as did my friend D's. Also, I found the cutest most blair-like top at forever 21 yesterday (sleeveless, ruffled navy with white polka dots.) Once again, I hope your love lives are going well, happy valentine's day!

ARod Finally Caught for Being an Idiot
As of yesterday, one of my most hated Yankees(second only Johnny Damon) was at last prosecuted for being an idiot. As of now he is being tried for illegal use of steroids. The second most recent news about athletes and their use of drugs, one word Michael Phelps. I was so sad, as most of you know he recently went to the Beijing Olympics and broke tons of records with eight gold medals in 2008. He first went to the Olympics in 2004, and I have been a huge fan ever since (yes back when nobody knew him.) I was in love with him in 3rd grade, and was convinced that I was going to marry him, you can go to my friend D's blog and ask her all about in (hehe) her blog is called Fashionably Late. On the note of sports, I have great news! This March when I'm on vaca in Florida, I'm driving down to Fort Myers from my beach house to go to Red Sox spring training with my family. YAYAYAYA, I've always wanted to go. Also please vote on my blog layout poll (afterall this is the third time I've changed it) btw thanks to D for changing it for me.

Mid-Winter Weekend At Last
Thank god tomorrow is February 6, the start of Mid-Winter weekend, which means a half day, and no school on Monday!! This winter has been the longest possible (cold, wet, and dull too) and I finally get to escape to Florida for the long weekend. This funny part of all of this is that the other day I was telling a boy in my math class that I was going there and the following conversation took place.

Carrnel Knowledge
If you haven't seen the latest episode of Gossip Girl, you have to it's great. The evil Ms. Carr has finally been exposed but there has been no proof of her affair with Lonely Boy. Blair gets back into Constance Billard, but it looks like it's only to be expelled again. Unfortunately, it looks like Serena has no idea that Dan has actually been cheating on her, this is so unlike him. Blair's change at going to Yale has been seriously compromised, and it appears that Nelly has helped to cause this, her goody two shoe nature forced her to rat Blair out, and everyone hates her for it, and after Serena's huge sacrifice that might just get Blair into Yale. Make sure to vote on whether or not you think that Ms, Carr should be fired forever, and make sure to look at the picks from the last episode on the CW website (Blair is wearing some really cute plaid shoes).
XOXO

Ice Cream at 29 Degrees Fahrenheit........ Yummy
Today my friend D and I decided to stop by the Coldstone's near our school for ice cream, despite that fact that it was about three degrees below freezing. I had a like it size cup of dark chocolate peppermint stick ice cream with candy cane mix-ins, and it was sooo good. If your bored and need an afternoon pick-me-up you should definitely try this. However, don't try this too often, because the calories can add up quickly. Instead, you should try making some lower calorie versions of your favorite sweets at home. My personal favorite is the chocolatly chip frapachino Norah style, and now my friend J and I make them everytime we have a sleepover. All you have to do is throw some chocolate chunks, skim milk, low fat chocolate sauce, and some ice cubes into a blender and mix until you find your favorite constancy. They are really good, and if you make whip cream, you can add some to the top when you finished making them.

Congratulations Obama!!
I must admit that, I am an avid Mitt Romney supporter, but over the course of the election, I found that it's impossible not to admire Barack Obama. I just wanted to note that it's a big accomplishment for him to become the fist African American president in the Western world the day after Martin Luther King day. Here's to Obama, you made the history books, and I'm sure Dr. King would be very proud! Good luck at the inauguration tomorrow Mr. President!

The New It Series, Even for Girls Who Never Read
Thanks to a suggestion from my friend D, I decided to start reading the Clique series, and it's really good. The first book in the series is a great story about four girls known as the clique who go to Octavian Day School in New York. When they start seventh grade their leader Massie is forced to take the new girl Claire under her wing because their parents are good friends. However, no matter how hard Claire tries she can't seem to make her and her keds from Florida fit in. It's funny and has a lot of surprising twists, and Massie sort of reminds me a younger more rural version of Blair Waldorf (haha) without the scandals.

Classy Shoppers(a.k.a. me) Welcome Rugby to the Natick Collection
This is officially the second best edition to the Natick collected (j.crew is the best of course.) I, being strictly a classic girl, have avoided it, I mean who came up with messed up camo cargo pants exactly? The other day I decided to check it out anyway, and it was awesome! They have wicked cute sweaters, cords, and of course rugby shirts. Some of the stuff is unfortunately I litter too punked up for my taste, but the classic pieces is the picture are cool. Also big new, I've made another great fashion discovery! Surprisingly, J.C. Penny's new brand American Living has some cute blazers and polos, and I heard from an insider that it's manufactured by Ralph Lauren.
